  • Marine
  • Flooring
  • Joinery

Also known as "Opepe, it belongs to the Rubiaceae family and is widely distributed across tropical Africa. Its wood color ranges from golden yellow to orange, darkening to brown over time, with an interlocked grain and a density close to that of hickory. It offers good resistance to fungi, termites, and marine organisms without requiring intensive chemical treatment.

Common Uses: Combining good durability with ease of workability, it suits outdoor projects exposed to moisture such as marine works and exterior construction, and is also used in flooring and structural carpentry, as well as certain fine craft work that requires stable, easily shaped wood.
